WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME/RECOVERY?

The compromise for big results can sometimes involve some social downtime. Downtime involves redness, swelling, and peeling while the skin heals. After these laser resurfacing treatments, you will have to stay indoors for several days, as your compromised skin cannot be exposed to ANY UV light until it is safe to apply daily sunscreen.

The length of the downtime depends on the aggressiveness of the treatment and can range anywhere from 2-8 days. While a change in the skin’s texture can be visible as early as 2 weeks, full results will be seen 2-4 months after the treatment. This is the length of time required by the immune system to fully rejuvenate the skin.
